Located on the top floor of the Ivy right next to the pool is Uccello. I find myself there on a Thursday night for dinner with a friend. We are seated next to the glass that separates the pool bar from the restaurant, when I booked I was told that it might be noisy because of the party at the pool but even seated where we were it was not loud at all inside the restaurant . The waiter come and hands me and menu and check out the size of it, its big! A3 I think, You can’t really tell in the pic but it takes up half the table.
The cured meat plate is a good way to start a meal there is a selection of meats with a range of flavours, goes well with the very tasty complimentary bread. Quail inviltini looks great on the plate, cooked perfectly so it’s still juicy. All the elements come together to make a really nice dish .The serving size of pasta for the main is generous not huge but well portioned.
As the night progressed and dinner finished we moved outside to the pool for a few drinks. I spotted Justin Hemmes and snapped a pic with him. The food at Uccello is good but its a bit pricy. They also have quite an extensive wine list.
Big menu!
Selection of Italian style cured meats with marinated olives and cornichons $ 27
Complimentary bread
Involtini of quail, prosciutto and sage, corn puree and baby spinach $ 43
Tagliatelle, veal ragout, parma ham and peas $ 42
Mixed green salad $ 9

I totes agree, the Tagliatelle looks damn good!
Thanks Suze & Raff!
My mate got the tagliatelle so I didn’t try it but he said it was tasty…
agree with comments above, tagliatelle looks amazing! haven’t eaten at uccello before – did you think it was worth it?
It was good food but I think it was overpriced, $200 for dinner for 2 with shared entree , two mains, side and cheapest bottle of wine….
