Apple Bar – Bilpin

 

After seeing my brother have all the fun with the food blog, i have decided to join him. I figured what better time to start posting then after a post about my birthday.

A week or so ago, some friends and I went up to Bilpin to go apple picking. Who doesn’t like a good fresh apple? After we had picked our apples we were quite hungry. Bilpin isn’t that big of a town and we walked into the Apple Bar not really know what to expect. The apple bar is an amazing restaurant that uses local produce where ever they can. This means that the menu is always changing and you can never be sure what will be on the menu when you go in. We originally we going to get pizzas to share, but with other options looking so tempting we went all out. On the day the pork was every ones favorite.

 

Boston Bay Mussels with wood fired bread. $21.50

Poached chicken salad with Snow peas and artichoke dressing . $14.50

Pork loin with caramelised apples three mustard sauce and chips. $29.90

Tandoori Kingfish with Papadum cherry tomato salsa, Riata and Chips $29.90

Speckle Park rump red wine soaked with yam mash and Dijonnaise $32.50

      Thank you, i did not get to try the rump, however the pork was unbelievable.
