Quay is no doubt one of Sydney’s best restaurants with exceptional food, service & amazing views. Delivering everything you would expect from a restaurant of this caliber and more.
The standout savory dish for me was the mud crab congee sounds boring but packs so much flavor nothing like any other congee I have had before. Desserts is all about the Snow Egg. It is really worthy of all the hype. I want to go back to Quay just to have another one!
The 4-course meal I had here was $175 they also have a tasting menu for $235. On the day I dined here there was a cruise ship docked so it was blocking the view towards the Opera House, there was still views of the Harbour Bridge. If you want the full view experience best to check if a boat will be in on the day of your booking.

It’s always a shame when the cruise ships dock outside Quay. I remember finding it hard to resist the warm bread each time it came around. I’m super intrigued by the confit of prunes. That looks incredible.
Yes the ship does wreck the view… Next time I will have to plan it around ships to get the full experience. The confit is a solid dessert really good even when compared with the snow egg!
